Basketball Time!

For the next few weeks we will be practicing our basketball skills through drills and lead-up games. The 4th and 5th graders will eventually play team games to culminate our unit.

Floor Hockey!!!

This week and next we will be participating in our floor hockey program that is sponsored by the Chicago Wolves. At the conclusion of the unit, students will receive a voucher for one Wolves game of their choice. Stay tuned for pictures and a possible video. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Just want to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving and remind you to exercise and burn some calories before and after we stuff ourselves to the max. Just not immediately after of course. See you all next week!

This Week in P.E.

This week we will be finishing up some fitness testing and playing some Halloween inspired games. We will be playing "Trick or Treat" which is a version of a classic game called "Army Navy". We will be playing "Goblin Grab Bag", and "Steal the Ghost".  Don't forget to scroll down and vote for your favorite fruit!!

Mile Time!!!!

This week our Gators will be testing their cardiovascular endurance while running the mile. 1st-2nd run a half mile, and 3rd-5th run a whole mile! We are going to take advantage of this perfect running weather while we can. At the end of the week we will start our gymnastics unit and work on tucks, rolls, balances, holds, climbing and all sorts of great skills and movements. Lets have a great week Gators!

Wheel of Warm-Up

This year at Greenbrier, students who enter quietly and sit in their squads get to spin the Wheel of Warm-up to see what activity we will do to warm-up at the beginning of class.

Soccer Time!!!

For the next few weeks we will be playing soccer while we soak up this great September weather.
