What are we doing in November??

This month we will be playing various team-oriented games in which students will need to come together to reach one common goal.  All of our games will require many different fundamental movements and techniques to be successful, but most of all teamwork.

Happy Halloween!!!!!

Remember to not eat any candy that appears opened or has not been checked by your parents. Another good tip is to not get more candy than you should eat for Halloween.

We will work on many gymnastics skills such as balance activities, tumbling, bars, vault, and the climbing wall. Students will be working on lower body strength and upper body strength each day in warm-ups.  We will conclude our unit by building an obstacle course in the gym.

Super Gators P.E.

This year we will be focusing on finding the superhero in all of us.  The first week we talked about how all of our gators have their own special super powers. We may not be able to travel faster than the speed of light or fly through the air, but we all have special qualities that can help a team reach a common goal.  This year in P.E. we will be focusing on sportsmanship and teamwork in order to gain the necessary qualities needed to build good character.  In the upcoming months we will be participating in some team building, soccer, gymnastics,  and the mile run. The mile is administered to assess our current levels of cardiovascular fitness, and gives us the ability to make goals for our spring mile times.  Primary students will run a half mile and focus more on fundamental, loco-motor, and manipulation skills. Let's have a great year super gators!!!!
