Time for Fitness Testing!

This week our 3-5 students will be fitness testing on line jumps, jump rope, sit-ups, and the pacer test. The Pacer tests cardiovascular endurance and is new to Greenbrier this year. Students will compare their scores to past scores and set new goals for the next time that fitness testing comes around.

Heart Obstacle Course

This week our students will be taking part in the heart obstacle course. Students will be learning about the heart's function while traversing through the course. Students will act as oxygenated and non-oxygenated blood as they travel through the four chambers of the heart. An understanding of the heart will help students to understand the heart's function and the importance of staying heart healthy.

Jump Rope For Heart

With February being National Heart Month, our Greenbrier Gators will be participating in Jump Rope For Heart. Starting the first week in February, students will begin collecting donations to help the American Heart Association fight heart disease and stroke. Donations can also be made online if the student signs up for online donations. As a school, Greenbrier wants to raise as much money as possible to help fight heart disease and stroke, so get ready to be a part of a great cause!
